Film dari Mother of Tears (2007) bersinopsis Sebuah guci kuno ditemukan di pemakaman di luar Roma. Setelah dibuka, hal itu memicu serangkaian insiden kekerasan: perampokan, pemerkosaan dan pembunuhan meningkat secara dramatis, sementara beberapa wanita muda misterius dan berwajah jahat yang datang dari seluruh dunia berkumpul di kota. Semua peristiwa ini disebabkan oleh kembalinya Mater Lacrimarum, penyihir terakhir dari tiga penyihir kuat yang telah menyebarkan teror dan kematian selama berabad-abad.
